"How was your first day?"

If I had to decide whether I was staying here based on my first day, I would never come back to Vegas.... My first day was AMAZING. I love love love Portland! People were friendly and weird and random! People were holding signs to help the homeless. Not to get money or food or housing for them. But, to encourage people to speak to them. People were actually spending their free time to encourage people to say Hi to homeless people.....The food was phenomenal!! Every cup of coffee was great!... You can have a BEER in the MOVIE THEATER! They sell it right there in the concession area. I was enjoying a Hefe while watching X-Men. Yes, there are theaters in Vegas that let you do that but they are hard to find!... The rain was refreshing! The air is so clean and pure... Plastic bags are banned here. And you rarely see any trash or litter ANYWHERE!

"Where are you now?"

Now I'm in Sacramento! Only for an hour... This is my last transfer. And thank God for that! It seems like the more buses I get on the more dirty they get. On one bus, the bathroom floor was so gross that my shoes  were sticky when I got out! Ewww... At one bus station a pregnant chick was doing drugs in the bathroom. Fortunately, the people who have sat next to me have been normal, pleasant, law abiding citizens... lol...

"So your running away from home, huh?"

After a brief conversation with the bus driver, I got asked this question. I'm not sure how he came to that conclusion after me simply saying I'm moving. Plus I'm too old to "run away".... But honestly,  I can't help but wonder if that's what it looks like to my family and friends... and if it's true. I didn't think I was running by leaving so soon. It's crazy how everything came together so well. All the pieces fell into place for me to move. The timing felt perfect...

Anyhow, this bus ride is not as bad as I thought it would be. The seats are pretty comfy and people are nice and quiet. I have awesome friends who text me and keep me entertained. As well as great WiFi to surf the web and play games. Still have over 20 hours to go! Jeepers!

" I thought you got hired at MGM Grand! Why are you leaving? When is your last day?"

I am working at MGM, however, it's been through a temp agency. Yes, I did apply for the position I have been working for the past two months. Yes, they did encourage me to apply for it and told me how much they liked me. Yes, I got my hopes up and did my happy dance. Yes, I did tell everyone about it and created excitement. But, they pulled the rug under my feet and chose another person. And yes, I am a little salty about it. It's one of my many motivating factors for moving...

Today is my last day here. And boy will I miss this place. I will miss the free employee buffet the most!! Come to think of it... its the only thing I will miss! Not to say I didn't like being here. It's just the free amazing food was my joy in life! Today I will get my dream meal: Fresh made waffles topped with bacon, pecans, bananas, and hot syrup. Oh and a piping hot cup of coffee... I'm on top of the world!!

"You're moving up there for a guy aren't you!? Who is he??"

I have been asked this question a couple times. And well, the answer is simple... NO! I am not moving across state lines for a man. Not me. Unless there was a ring on my finger, I would not do all this for a guy. Sorry... The only person I know in the entire state of Oregon is my cousin. A girl cousin at that... However, ahem, I do relish in the thought of meeting new people there. New attractive, tall, spiritual, and single people... Lol! Kidding!... Well... Kind of...

"Are you going to keep me posted on your way there?"

Yes. I plan on posting videos and pictures on my long 29 hour trip there. Feel free to call, text, email, Skype, Oovoo, IM, Snapchat, Google +, LikedIn, or even smoke signal me!

"Where are you going to work there?

I'm not sure yet. I have a job interview set up already the day after I get there at a Solar Power company. I plan on applying at different places when I get there. I'm open to trying new fields of work... I heard that Portland has tons of brewery's there. If I could work at a brewery I would be a very happy camper. =).... I am very nervous about whether I will be able to find legit work out there or not. But, I have to try. I'm so glad my ticket is non-refundable because I would have probably backed out by now out of fear. I will never know if I don't try. That's what I keep telling myself. I would rather try and fail then never try and wonder "what if?"...

"Oh now Vegas isn't cool anymore?"

Las Vegas will always be cool and amazing to me! I will miss the 24 hour service here. Along with the tourists that come from all over the world, the amazing bars (Insert coin, Commonwealth, and Gold Spike to name a few) and the huge awesome hotel pools! I will even miss seeing the Strip lights at night, the dumb tourists who think the laws of gravity and motion don't exist here, and being surrounded by the most beautiful mountains. Most off all I will miss the friends. I have some of the best people in the world as my friends. It's hard to imagine not seeing them everyday... Vegas has so many fun things to do that don't involve the debauchery this city is known for. I am just ready for a change and a new environment. Vegas will always be my home no matter where I go...

"So when are you leaving then?"

Monday June 23rd at 5:00pm...

I am taking the Greyhound bus there. It takes 1 day and 5 hours to get there! =/ I have never taken the bus that far for that long alone. Not to lie, I am a little scared. Lol... I already have my Netflix queue and music playlist ready for the trip. I plan on indulging in Pretty Little Liars and chocolates the whole way there!

"Hillsboro, OR? Never heard of it..."

Well, now you have and here it is!
